Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah is the Director-General of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation since 2017.

In 2010 he was elected as Vice President of the International Shooting Sport Federation.

In 2011 he was appointed as Minister of Information in Kuwait. In 2012 he was appointed as Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs. He was re-appointed in August 2013 as Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and in 2016 he was appointed as Chairman of the Youth Public Authority.

He received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Management Science with distinction from Kuwait University.
